Love Is Everywhere

I went to dinner with a few great friends yesterday evening.

As I was sipping my delicious soup at our local Japanese restaurant, I found a heart shaped piece of vegetable floating serenely in the broth... It made my own heart smile. So I took a picture.

Whoever invented the camera on a phone and multi media messaging,

thank you for your brilliance.

I felt kind of silly for a moment
that something so insignificant would make me so happy,
but after remembering the the quote from the film
Love, Actually

I realize it's a good thing.

"Seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy,
but it's always there"


So here's to:

being more observant to the little moments in our lives.
watch for the little pieces of love hiding inbetween,

just patiently waiting for us to notice.
